I'm afraid that the card appeal has diminished a long time ago... This was the card U used in 95% of the cases, had good return initially, a lot of programs contributing to a 529 account, and when you have kids in school, every little bit counts. But at this time, there are so many different credit card programs that virtually everyone can find better options for themselves out there. I haven't used this card in almost 5 years and have no plans to do so.

Great way to save for college and deposit money into 529s.
I have had a Upromise card for many years. Originally my earnings were going towards my sister's loan for her son in college. Then that program stopped. A great-nephew was born in 2019 and a 529 account was set up for him by my brother. I added my great-nephew to my account so my earnings could go toward his 529 account. From the beginning, Upromise has been unable to directly transfer my earnings to the 529 account. Great program! Automatic savings to my child's college account on brands/stores that I am buying from anyway. Love it!
This has been a wonderful and convenient way to save for my children's college tuition. Initially there were many stores participating and I could really get a lot of savings, some stores have dropped off, but I continue to use the credit card to earn "free" money, plus online shopping through participating stores. The investment option is great, I use our state's 529 plan and have had good growth.
