UPMC by far has to be the worst healthcare-less insurance I’ve ever had! I’ve been trying to get migraine medication for 3 weeks, but they keep kicking it back saying I need pre authorization, yet they they won’t approve it! I’ve had migraine medication for 14 years & have been on theses meds, but still problems! My dr has talked to them several times & went as far as changing the medication to a different one in their so called formula & they still kick it back as needing prior authorization!!! Literally the worst insurance company I’ve ever had to deal with. Will deny claims then avoid ever giving a reason
My experience was horrible. I was treated so badly and the way the nurse did my blood and iv was so wrong. After wards my bf over heard them talking about me and saying some very disrespectful things about me. The nurse was very quick to judge me and my bf. And was just rude. I will never go to this hospital again. This is the result of when I told the nurse to use my thicker vein but decided not to. Deny,deny,denydeny you won't pay for prescriptions that work just ones that don't that's putting profit over health, upmc health plan they want you to die fast and cheap that's why they deny expensive prescriptions
