I was a little concerned when I saw some of these reviews. The office staff was very professional. I did not have a long wait time at all. I was called back right on time. There was even a screen in the lobby, allowing patients to know if their provider was on schedule or not, which I thought was impressive. The medical assistant was very professional, and the physician assistant I saw was also very professional and personable. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, but this office was exceptional.
Was misdiagnosed with a facial "fungus" by a video appt with a PA-C. She ordered several medications on which I had co-pays. After several weeks, the "fungus" got worse. I made an appt with a different dermatologist at a different location. A certified dermatologist (Doctor) took one look at my face and diagnosed Rosacea. He prescribed the correct med which cleared it up. I received a bill from UPMC from the misdiagnosed appt (with PA-C). I appealed the bill. They were to get back to me with response & they never did. Horrible experience! I arrived on time for my appointment at 11:00 AM. The screen shows the doctor is delayed but less than 15 minutes, which is nonsense. After waiting for 30 minutes at front desk, they finally led me to an exam room. The nurse asked me a couple of questions then left me there waiting. I’ve been waiting for another 40 minutes so far. Very poor staff with assisting in any way from prescription refill to even getting in touch with a person in the office. Their phone line has not answered once in seeing them for 12 months now. I’ve been lead very in the dark for over a year now and just save your time and trips from heading to this office. Disappointing for UPMC
