Despite having been in a kayak a few times already, I don't think any previous place was concerned about installing knowledge before shoving me off into the water. Phil started in the water with us on land and took his instruction step by step with visuals, demonstrating everything he taught, starting with just getting into the kayak. He also stood in the water the majority of the lesson, while we practiced our new skills. I'm an 18-year-old that went out with her dad for a fun night kayaking for our first time. It was a great experience, not to mention seeing thousands of bats fly around you and seeing various wildlife. Good for all ages and a exciting memory (:

We did the Hambrick Bat Cave trip, and loved it. It is an amazing and very different experience. It was about the right distance for our 2 girls, ages 6 and 7 1/2, and with a little instruction they learned how to paddle. The 6 year old got a little tired at the end, but made it on her own without the tow rope. :-) Phil was a great guide for us, as first time kayakers.

My boys and I just went on the Hambrick Bat Cave trip with Phil and we had the best time! Lots of bats and a horned owl as a bonus. Phil was a great guide and a fun paddling companion. We will definitely sign up for more trips with Phil.

Had a great time out on Wheeler in the Limestone Bay area. Phil is a superb guide, very knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humour! If you go kayaking in this area, go with him.
Had a great time on the Town Creek trip! The guide was very knowledgeable and provided equipment was in great shape. I will definitely be back for another guided trip!!!
