I had a cleaning here in Sep 2025. A few days after the cleaning, a crown on my back molar broke. I’m unsure if the two events were related, but it was odd. I messaged Dr. Kandar for an emergency procedure as the tooth was extremely sensitive. He had me come in for an emergency crown (not even temporary). Upon my next visit, he said that I had cavities that formed on the affected tooth while it was in the old crown. Based on this diagnosis, he proceeded to fill the cavities. I have been a patient of the Uno Dental San Francisco office for the past year and a half or so and up until the past 6 months I had no complaints. The visits were long and expensive but this is dental care in San Francisco so nothing entirely unexpected. Within the last 6 months the quality of care I have received has dropped dramatically. I used to call the office and would be able to speak to a real life receptionist who would answer my questions and schedule my appointments. I've never written a review before, but I had an unfortunate experience at Uno Dental. It's also worth flagging they encourage you to submit a pre-written review while in the dentist chair, which I suspect is why there are so many positive reviews. I went in for a cleaning and to refill a cavity. I waited multiple hours to be seen by the dentist who then didn't have time to refill the cavity, set up a follow appointment in which they filled the cavity (although it then fell out) and then had to set up a third appointment to ... read more
