This is the absolute WORST place I have ever lived at! They sent an email out saying that we CANNOT use the gym, the tanning beds, club house, pool, hammock garden, volleyball court, etc. but the residents are still required to pay the full price. They did NOT even offer a discount price, especially during tough times as of recent. Also, I am constantly dealing with broken appliances all throughout my apartment. Be cautious in these times, it might not be best to sign a lease without knowing for sure SRU will even have in person classes. On Campus housing is flexible, they rebated 50% for dorm/meal costs due to closures. Off Campus housing is stuck with lease terms and a response of check your lease.

Avoid this place at all costs! I chose this place as a graduate student and while the apartments are average, the cost is astronomical for what they are. My washer was broken for half the semester, had the maintenance in and it still didn’t work correctly. There is never parking. If you want to transfer or leave the university you have to continue to pay your rent, so make sure you want to be there long term before signing. I highly recommend living at University Village in Slippery Rock! The staff is always so kind and helpful. I love the new paint color on all of the buildings, and how the roads all got re-paved this year. The staff plans themed event and activities and has lots of giveaways for their residents!
University Village at Slippery Rock should reduce monthly payments due to the closure of amenities. As of today this will not be done beings they sent out an email stating monthly rent will still be collected, even though SRU is closed until next semester. The University is refunding all on campus students half of their money due to being forced to move home. Is this an option OR at least reduced rent for those of us who no longer wish to live here?
0 stars. Mold everywhere. Broken glass everywhere all the time. People getting robbed/sexual assaulted/and mugged in their “overflow” lot that they keep insisting I, a 4 11 100 pound girl park in even if it’s the middle of the night. Took it upon themselves to give me a random $50 parking ticket for parking in future resident parking after I had been parking there for months. Cannot wait to be done with this place.
