I saw Dr Leonard Kaufman for evaluation of my bilateral hydronephrosis and possible obstruction a condition I have been told by multiple doctors since I was 20 requires an MRI every five to ten years to monitor The nephrologist in the same clinic had already charted that this MRI was needed Dr Kaufman refused to order it He tried to send me for a CT scan which does not show my kidney anatomy or hydronephrosis as accurately and told me to go to the ER even though my situation was not an emergency His follow up was poor and he... read more

I have been seeing Dr. Kaufman for many years, he has greatly improved my quality of life. I highly recommend him.

Dr Kaufman is an expert, but his office is terrible: they billed me for a full session for a 4 minute phone call to let me know blood work results. I tried to speak with them to reduce the charges but they refused to budge and sent me to a collection agency.

Staff is rude on the phone and turned me off to the practice, because the first and last line of offense and defense is the staff. Unfortunately, neither the doctors nor the office managers read these reviews, so the negative feedback has no positive effect on quality control, training, hiring or firing of staff.

Caring, professional, and an overall excellent urologist. Have been seeing Dr. Kaufman for almost 8 years now. He is a great diagnostician and has often made me aware of new medicines & treatments not yet approved by Medicare or other insurance carriers but that are much more effective than those currently being used. His staff is always polite & welcoming as they greet me by name before I can even say anything. At first I was very happy to have found Dr. Kaufman. But I became more unhappy every time I needed his care. He is impatient does not adequately answer questions. Compounding this problem is a staff that is frequently rude. This practice is outdated. Does not offer the latest techniques and treatments. Facilities are not clean. Restrooms where samples are collected smells like a gas station. And procedures are done in a room with cardboard boxes. Practice needs to get up to date.

I am a retired adult male who has been treated by Dr. Leonard Kaufman for urological issues over the last ten years. Dr. Kaufman is a superb urologist and provides me with excellent care. His office is spotless and the staff are well trained and sensitive to the needs of their patients. Because of Dr. Kaufman's dogmatic nature he was able to identify my case of prostate cancer early enough to be successfully treated by radiation over eight years ago. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Leonard Kaufman.
