substance abuse program was great – i'm a little surprised by all the negative reviews, though i went through their evening substance abuse IOP 10 years ago, so maybe things have changed. that evening IOP staff gave me my first hope of ever getting sober and it was the first time i was ever able to put together long periods of sobriety. Janet Cross, the IOP nurse who basically oversaw the program then is still the best detox professional i ever met and i've been to treatment 5 times and would be embarrassed to tell you the n... read more
I recommend you try other offices, this one is useless. – I recently moved to Charlotte and was getting set up with new doctors. I chose University Psychiatric mainly because I was somewhat familiar with the part of town it was in. I had read the lousy reviews online, but chocked them up to disgruntled clients. Then, I had my. first visit with Jeanmarie Roberts. To this day, I can't tell if she was really there, as in mentally present, in the room as I spoke. She would respond to my statements with things like "Yes, ma'am" a... read more
Worst Place EVER!!!...if you need help...this is NOT it!! – This is the worst place I have ever been...Dr. Lombardi (the psych) is the most rude man I have ever met...I worked with him for four months before we decided that we were on two different paths...he was rude and short, insensitive, a real jerk basically...I would never recommend this place even to my own worst enemy...ALSO....I attended the outpatient treatment program that they have and they we judgemental and controlling and condecending...I have never felt worse... read more
Agree with all one star raters – My biggest problem with this place was Dr. Lombardi - he was rude, insensitive, impatient, and condescending. He was the guy who saw me in order to sign off on the script. The therapist that I saw on a regular basis who is no longer there should have been paying me - it seemed that she laughed more at my musings and philosophical meanderings than actually providing any meaningful therapy. Both Lomabardi and this therapist made comments that were inappropriate - Lomabardi told me to dump my bo... read more
MEDS HELD HOSTAGE, DON'T MISS YOUR APPT. – Can you say "have you paid your co-pay"? Seems like RX's are filled based on appointment basis. Was hung out to dry by Dr. Lombardi over XMas season. Missed appt. called to see about refills, and was asked after calling to re-schedule a missed appt. Needed meds 3x daily and appt. not available for another 3 weeks. Reception is very very unresponsive and seems to only care about "collecting co-pays". I felt like my meds were being held hostage due to a missed appt. When you call to s... read more
Office staff is horrible!!!!!! Dr lombardi is a nice fellow but the place is impossible to communicate with – Dr Lombardi is a nice fellow but is in the substance abuse treatment buisiness and is very skeptical about pain management . I truly don't have a problem with the Dr but trying to communicate with the office staff is next to impossible. The industry is about high volume less attention and the office calls are never answered by a human and when you do need to leave a voice mail you will need to leave them your entire ... read more
SHOCKING LACK OF COMPASSION – After a serious trauma resulted in a 10 day stay in Presbyterian Behavioral Health, my husband was assigned to an outpatient program at University Psych. Following our initial meeting with the head of the program, we decided to look for help elsewhere--but we kept the appt with Dr Lombardi in order to get refills for my husband's (very necessary) psych medication until we were able to see the psych at the new program. When Dr. Lombardi found out we had gone with another program and would only ha... read more
Seems like a nice guy... – But when you cross him, things get really dark, really fast. I missed an appointment that I had no record of, and got a letter in the mail notifying me of a $50 no-show fee that was charged to my account. When I contested the fee at the office, I found out that their courtesy call service had been disabled during the time of my appointment. When the administrative manager overheard my request, she stood up and said in an obstinate tone that Dr. Lombardi was not going to waive the fee. When I went i... read more
