My first encounter with UMMC was when my youngest was three months old. He had his aorta repaired. Not one complaint can I give with the way we were cared for. He saw the ped.cardiologist there until 2 years ago and his now 27, years old. Our next encounter has been with our 2 yr old grandson, he's had seizure problems since he was 1. And recently he broke his femur while running wet on hard wood floors. He slipped and landed on his right leg wrong causing the pressure to break the bone. If I could give it negative stars I would. HORRIBLE HOSPITAL, well atleast the third floor! My boyfriend was in a horrible car accident, we got here thinking he had to just have a rod put in and pins and plus a fractured jaw. We have been here five days and is just now finding out that he has a bruised spleen and five broke ribs. Nobody has told us this and it's there job too!! It takes ATLEAST 30 mins to get a nurse into the room after you've pressed the call button 3 times, & there bed side manner is horrible. I can't tell... read more
