RecommendedI had dr. John Vargo Jr as my dr,. The doctor was absolutely wonderful very kind very understanding I would highly recommend dr. Vargo to anybody also from the time I got there to the time I left the receptionist ,nurses and doctors the check-in and check-out people was so nice to me and so understanding and so helpful I would definitely and highly recommend this office in Altoona Pennsylvania to anybody
Giving specifics for a recommendation to UOC is a loaded question. I've had three surgeries, to date, performed by UOC's most qualified doctors. Their concern, knowledge and post-op care is second to none...certainly a plus when considering the prospect of surgery. I wouldn't trust anyone else nor go anywhere else for orthopedic issues. They're simply the best.

I've seen Dr. McClellan, who will be my surgeon. I feel very comfortable and confident in him. I also have seen John Vargo PAC. who has been kind and patient with me despite my anxiety.
I have been over to UOC half a dozen or more times and they have always been very helpful and nice. I have never had a very long wait either. I will be having surgery next month.
check in and check out was Buick and easy. everyone was polite and smiling. Dr. Bundy is always kind and professional.
Dr Tyndel has done 3 shoulder surgeries and one knee surgery for me. Highly satisfied with him and his PA Heidi Murphy. I am also quite satisfied with their PT program downstairs and recommend UOC
They are prompt no long waits for office visits. So far very good results from the surgery. I highly recommend UOC.
I have known Dr.Khalouf since his beginning in Blair county. First thing I noticed about him was how excellent his bed side manor was. On a rating scale from 1-10 I would give him a 15. He is a very straight shooter and up front about if he is able to help you or not and if he isn't able to he refers you to someone else who can. He also has kept me moving after all these years and kept my pain level down low enough for me to enjoy my life and for that I am forever thankful.
