Came to the ER with chest pain, the nurse st the desk seemed annoyed that I was bothering her. Then I was sent to the waiting room, I was in severe pain. When I got back to a room, for my severe pain the resident ordered me 1 pain pill. Which of course did nothing. Later in my the day I needed more pain meds, I had to wait 40 min. The nurse was busy. No doubt, but is it acceptable for a pt to be in severe pain for 40 min??? The next morning the doc came in and said you can go home, and dcd my morphine. Which I did not find o... read more
Great staff, very nice and clean hospital! My brother receives great care!
While going to the dentist is never something most people enjoy doing, I can say that these people make it as close as possible to that. I have a great student, Josh Peterson, who is very caring and competent. I love the fact how there is support staff there to not only supervise, but to encourage the students. Josh removed 6 teeth yesterday (yeah on the way to dentures) and honestly today - 24 hours later, I can say that I am in no pain. I would highly encourage anyone to try them out!
I went in there last April with severe chest pain and heart tremors. They sat me in a bed for hours and I never got treatment. The pneumonia I had exacerbated the condition of my heart and since I had some antibiotics they just got rid of me. Now it has all recurred and the Pericarditis is doing serious damage. I never experienced so much apathy as I did at UNMC, but they sure remembered me when it came time to send a bill.

They took such good care of me before, during, and after my oral/maxillofacial surgery. It was a tough decision (I visited with 3 different surgeons before deciding on one)... even though I had to drive 3 hours one way each time I went there, it was definitely worth it. They took their time and answered all my questions. During my recovery, I had a question and I was able to text one of the residents and got an immediate response... late on a Saturday night! I'm very impressed with Dr. Untrauer and his team.
awful place.... that's all I can say about this place and how I was treated.
