I really don’t know where to begin. I have never in all my life seen such a disgraceful hospital. Went to the ER sat 3 hours before being taken back to the most dirty room and had the pleasure to get a blanket with an old band aide stuck to it (I have pictures) saw a doc for 2 seconds asked me some questions never saw her again. My father has come in over the last few years three times he fell and broke his hip he had a stroke and he was sent home from the rehab with a UTI dehydrated and Kovic he brought him to the hospital every time he’s received excellent care the nurses are great they are kind and caring and I have nothing but gratitude for them and all the hard work they do thank you UH
My father received excellent care here everyone was kind and helpful and we are blessed to have a hospital right here near us for our medical needed we have come in as emergency patients a few times and as busy as it was we understand when it took a bit longer we were not the only ones there . Thank you to everyone who provides health care at uh .
*** MENTAL HEALTH PATIENTS, BEWARE!!! *** Long review, but please read if you are experiencing any kind of mental health crisis or seeking care for suicidal ideation, and DO NOT GO HERE. I cannot stress this enough. They may attempt to illegally involuntarily commit you! This happened to me one evening at this hospital. I can’t speak for the entire hospital but the OB/GYN office is terrible! Make sure you’re there on time! And you get to wait in the waiting room for an hour!! Why do they schedule so many people at the same time???? Then when they finally do get us in the back they act like they are doing us a favor??? We are paying them for a service and the service sucks 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ after this baby is born we will definitely be looking for a new doctor for my wife.
My brother was taken to the ER as he is a truck driver and became ill on the road. He was admitted to Portage MC on August 7 2019. He was forced released in continued ill health on August 23. He was 400 miles from his home in VA. Had I not lived within 100 miles of Ravenna I’m sure the management of this hospital would have left him for dead. My Dad Was there for about 3 weeks and received the absolutely worst care a human should ever receive. He was not from there and was there because he got really sick while working. Thankfully we were able to get him out of there and home to a REAL hospital. The doctors were absolutely shocked he had been in the hospital they way his leg was. This place is horiable and they need to step it up.This place is a joke and will never come here again.The wait is outrageous.
RecommendedI brought my 84 year old neighbor in to have a port put in and the nursing staff (Missy) was fantastic we got right in he was taken right to surgical prep kept comfortable doctor came right in and off to surgery he went The procedure was explained and they had a 3d book showing the port and a brief stay in recovery and home in no time thanks again to all the staff
