So I took the home sleep test. I received the results through my portal. No one calls you back for days. I finally reached out at a week. The tech did a quick rote run down and tells you to go buy a CPAP. No mention of mouthguards or any idea what's causing the mild APNEA. I have an appointment with a top ENT group to help me figure out the problem (NOT UTSW!). The next available appointment with Joy Ramos, a PA, was four months out LOL. The person who demonstrated the sleep apnea test equipment was nice, but heaven forbid they should manage to submit a cpap order or prescription in a timely fashion. Maybe I need to find a better clinic…
This outpatient evaluation was delayed in scheduling and I still do not have the reading even though it was labeled as"expedited". Staff were rigid and appeared more interested in the equipment than the patient. I still have not received billing but with significant coverage it j should not be an issue. As a long term patient at UTSW I am clearly disappointed in continuity of care.
This was my first time ever getting checked out about my sleep issues. I seen Mark Dula and he was phenomenal! He was so knowledgeable about sleep and what could be going on with me. I learned a lot from him. The moment he walked in the room, I felt comfortable. He’s very approachable, easy to talk to and funny. I would recommend him, you will not be disappointed! Thank you Mark for such a great experience ‼️
