My husband had oral surgery today they took good care of him even if it took a lot longer than we were told.
My mom was sent here from Laredo in Friday and was seen for Surgery early in the morning the next day. Everyone has been awesome and the service was excellent. Very Attentive Personnel. ☺
The only bad experience was the 22 hour wait in ER for my daughter to be seen, but once she was seen and admitted, she's had very good care. Surgery went well and the Docs and Nurses are doing their best to control her pain. I understand that University is a county hospital and major trauma center and covers many counties. Helicopters and ambulances go there a lot, but there has to be some better way for ER patients to be taken in more quickly.
I was yesterday from 5pm to 1:30 pm the next day.
This place is awesome. I can't say enough good things about it. Our stay there was for my 16 year old son who was having a video eeg done. He saw Dr. Leary who was kind, patient, and very informative on any questions I had. The nurses were so nice and helpful to my son and myself. They made us feel very comfortable. Our stay was for 3 days, all of which past by quickly. This hospital and its staff were wonderful. I appreciate all the hard work they did for my son. My Thanks to everyone at this Hospital!! I have so much appreciate to the Dr's, nurses n techs for all their amazing jobs!
The staff is excellent but the parking is a very big draw back. Can't believe you have to pay for parking and not very good choices.
