My husband received the worse care from ER to the floors the times we were in there. We didn't realize he won't be seeing his doctors and his care would be handled by Hospitalist who don't know a thing about the patient and don't care. If I had known we wouldn't see his doctors we would have gone to Augusta University where at least you get to see an Intern and Resident besides a Hospitalist. The chances of getting better care have got to be better. The Heart and Vascular section at University Hospital are very good and the ... read more

Came here with a heart issue. I've been here almost TWELVE HOURS and I'm still waiting. Four other heart patients have been ahead of me for the last 6 hours?????? What are you'll doing????? Obviously NOT SEEING PATIENTS!!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND UNIVERSITY AND I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A WAIT AT ANY OTHER HOSPITAL FROM TIME OF ARRIVAL TO CHECK OUT TIME. THIS IS JUST CRAZY!!!!!

Over a7 hour wait so far in the ER with chest pains. Didn't even check blood pressure until after he'd been here over an hour. Tell patients what the wait time is when they arrive. All labs and EKG and xrays are done before you're even taken back to a room. Then you're hooked. Can't leave to go to another ER because all of the tests have been done in the first couple of hours. They don't want to lose the money, so they've changed their way of seeing patients and locking them in. So, so sad.

I walked in the ER at 4:30pm with a temperature of 103.0, a really bad cough and body ache. It is 12:20am (7 1/2) hours later and I’m still in the waiting room. This is really ridiculous. I will NEVER step foot in University Hospital ER ever again and I’ll be sure to tell my family. I’ve done stayed so long now I have a splitting headache. However, my complaint is trivial because some have been here longer than I have. 🤬 Michelle Perry Williams

I delivered my third baby at university a few days ago and had the pleasure of meeting Julia Brashear. She is the most incredible lactation consultant. While all of my deliveries at university have been excellent what really stood out was Mrs Brashear and her absolutely incredible level of compassion. She is truly an asset to this hospitals delivery floor. She advocated on my behalf to make sure that my wishes for my child were carried out. She is knowledgeable and helpful. Without her my entire experience would have been di... read more
