We booked the vip tour. It was an experience, but it improved the experience 100% We got to see the backstage and get off the trolley with AC. Stocked with as much water as you could drink. We were given access to many backstage areas you don't see. The chance to hop off and explore the sets. Take pictures on movie magic sets. See a tiny bit of the storehouse of props that fill in a scene. Everything and everything needed to create a home, an office, a mummy movie . We got to see the prop house as part of our VIP tour of Universal Studios. It was really cool. An amazing amount of stuff that they use for movies and television. I don't have any pictures because they aren't allowed, which totally makes sense. It was one of the special things the regular studio tour doesn't do, so definitely consider adding the VIP experience to your visit!
