Took down payment for remodel deck and never saw or heard from them. Never replied to emails or voice mails. I guess I was ghosted and taken for over $8000 . Fraud???
This company has screwed my brother, a single dad who has now wasted his time, material and own money to fix mason work after an accident at 7126 Canton Farm Rd Plainfield, IL. DO NOT USE!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR ENERGY TO NOT GET PAID AFTER MORE THAN 6 MONTHS. Universal Construction is terrible.
They wrote me a fraudulent payroll check. I had to file a complaint and waiting on a court date. The owner gave me fake transaction numbers for a wire transfer two different times. Looking deeper I have discovered they have done this to several people.
They deserve ZERO stars. The BBB gives them an F rating. Shoddy work. Confused employees with whom management doesn't communicate. Ordered the WRONG parts. Their refund check was written on a ghost account. That's fraud. They LIED about mailing a certified check. They give small business a bad name. Buyer beware.
