ER Nursing staff is great… can’t say same for ER doc or some of check in. Got test results @11pm but doc doesn’t come back until 330am. The 4.5 hrs wait I spent listening to staff (1 was our nurse with a distinctive voice) cackling, laughing, cracking jokes and messing around. When doc finally arrives - was in and out 2 mins. Nurse follows with discharge papers very apologetic- saying doc got tied up with “something” yes he got tied up with his 4 hr nap.
Thank you to the tech who wrapped my hand named Victor. He took his time understood how much pain I was experiencing and took the initiative to go above and beyond to ease the pain in my hand. Thank you Victor.
My girlfriend dislocated her elbow on Friday night and this was the closest ER to where we were. We aren’t from the area so I was unsure of where the best place to go would be. This place was excellent. We arrived and the intake nurse saw the pain she was in and brought her right back. The elbow was set back in place within two hours by some of the friendliest staff I have ever experienced in an emergency department. Very grateful.
I've always liked Lutheran but I felt a little threatened when my wife and I went through the emergency entrance where we subjected to emptying our pockets,metal detectors and a wand. I guess it is nice to know your safe but it was kind of an invasion of privacy. As far as I know no other hospital does what Lutheran Emergency Dept does. It be nice if they had that kind of security at our K-12 educational Schools
Highy disappointed.
