Wouldn't recommend the adult mental health program if you aren't intellectually disabled. The program was very different from what I was told.
I've been at Iowa Lutheran Hospital several times over the past few days, and I felt compelled to leave a review because the care has been excellent. Like many emergency departments, I did have to spend longer in the waiting room than I would have liked. However, once I was brought back, everything moved quickly. My wife was sent here for physical therapy after a stroke. The staff treated her with dignity and respect. The nurses and pt folks are awesome. I couldn't be happier. They all deserve all the kudos
Like all of these other folks, I wish I could give Luthern Hospital zero stars!!! If you actually like your family don't allow them to be sent or transferred there! My father got transferred there to the Yonkers rehabilitation center from Methodist. Yonkers rehab was not giving him his water pills (has a history of needing them). He ended up in ICU because of fluid in his lungs. While in ICU they gave him blood thinners through IV which caused a bleed in his intestines and his hemoglobin levels to tank.
