Today I went to Unity Point Urgent Care on Ingersoll Ave. and received first rate medical care. I was in extreme pain which turned out to be cellulitis that was progressing rapidly. I realized I should have gone in a few days earlier to which they responded, "We are glad you are here now." I was treated with such kindness and respect from the two people working at the front dest to the Medical Assistant who took my vitals, to the Nurse Practitioner Stephanie and her student intern. This was an unfortunate experience. As someone who works in healthcare and at a UPH, I will not recommend this urgent care. I had a positive result for strep throat that did not get looked at because the doctor was not in clinic that day. I completely get that, but there are other providers that work in that office that are capable of prescribing the correct medication to make me feel better. I would definitely recommend setting an appointment before you go. If you have to, you can still wait to be worked in. I find the doctors professional and courteous. The location is very convenient for me and I was in and out in under a half hour with my daughter who had an ear infection and they had my prescription ready when I arrived at the pharmacy. Excellent experience!

I was seen for a sinus infection, and was prescribed an antibiotic. I had side effects within a 24 hr period. I quit taking it and called for a different antibiotic.I was told I would be called that day or the next. I wasn't called. The 3rd day I called again and explained my situation and asked for a different antibiotic. She told me it might be a week before I hear back about it because the drs were really busy.
