The nurses are very rude because when I call up there to check on my mom they always tell me I can’t give you any information because your brothers put it that way . And they did not put it that way my brothers put me on the contact list and the social worker doesn’t call all the kids she only calls who she wants and that is BS

My 19 yr old daughter had the worst care this weekend after having an emergency appendectomy. She was discharged 2.5 hrs after surgery, screaming in pain without complete discharge instructions. The nurse just didn't want to deal with her as a patient. She was all alone and had no one showing any type of compassion. Hey Unity Point, we will make sure that we spend our insurance dollars at the hospital across town instead of services with you any more.

My father passed away yesterday and spent the end of his life in the ICU at UnityPoint and from the moment I arrived to be with him, I was greeted and treated like their family by an amazing support team. They truly went above and beyond to make the process as comfortable as possible for my father and even me (by offering the Lovett room for my stay). I was just in the ER tonight with my 16 month old for a forehead laceration. We received AMAZING care from check-in to discharge! I wish I could remember my nurse’s name because she was so thoughtful, kind and knowledgeable! The provider that saw us was Merritt, and he did a fantastic job. He honestly listened to me, gave me my options and ultimately put a couple of great looking stitches in my son’s forehead. My mother is currently in there after a surgery. The nurse she has is just rude. She asked to use the restroom before I left 45 mins ago. Just got home and she informed me they still haven’t come in to assist her using the restroom. They tell her she can have a pain med at a certain time then come in and change it. I’m not happy with the care received, I’m having my baby in May and was supposed to be going to st Luke’s. However after seeing how disrespected my mother is being treated I won’t be going there.
