This place was an absolute nightmare! Between the nurses lying to you and refusing to give the necessary medication to detox and the fear I began to have as to why they would lie to me and try to keep me on a 48 hold when I voluntarily walked in there, I would never recommend this place to anyone ever! I think they try to keep you there for 48 hours cause I’m assuming insurance won’t pay unless you’re there for at least that minimum amount of time. Please don't go here. For some reason I was given vitamin pills while I need antipsychotics. I also figured out that they wrongfully prescribed some seizure and parkinson's disease meds without my knowledge. I should take responsibility though and I should have checked the medication before taking them at all. I needed to go to a more transparent place like probably a medical clinic.The psych ward eventually discharged me and now I have to start over again with finding a better place to get help from. Update below after 2 years. This first part was in 3/2023 My partner of 17 years was admitted after many episodes of psychosis. She voluntarily agreed to get help and after talking with her psychiatrists, social worker, and nurses, I have to say that they have given her a new lease on life. They were firm but kind. As she improved they put together a plan for her to go forward by stepping down from the hospital to a group home and finally back home. Early recovery can be tough, but one would think that providers in 2025 would be able to distinguish the fact that different individuals have individual needs. Unfortunately, at this center, there won’t be an adjustment of care if you’re in a vulnerable place. I was not aware when I came in that the medication I was asking for can cause severe stomach distress.
