Update to previous review: Today, Tony from United Way LA responded to yesterday's phone call. I am grateful for their understanding and resolution to my mistaken donation. I am impressed with their attention to my concern.
I was trying to donate to another organization, but the United Way site popped up. Not realizing it was the wrong site, I made a donation. I realized it immediately and tried to contact them. They do not respond to phone calls or email messages. This does not seem to be the modus operandi of a reputable organization. Donors beware.
