As a graduate of SFUSD public schools I'm hugely appreciative of the hard work, dedication, and ingenuity of San Francisco teachers. I have boundless respect and admiration for the work UESF does to ensure students are educated and empowered and educators receive the pay, benefits, professional development, and resources that working people deserve.

The folks who work with the next generation deserve the best. Their work conditions are our children's living conditions. Educators and Support staff should be able to live and retire in the City where they have invested their working life. They give so much

I was a bit shocked to see the low rating of this amazing union but then I realized that the ratings were addressing the organizing we have been doing in response to the politics of hate, racism, sexism and bigotry being spewed by the Trump administration and his supporters. Long live our union!
