Maybe we should get an actual raise in the contract next time and not hope a Proposition passes and saves us all. I wish the union leadership was better at negotiating a fair wage rather than hoping for parcel taxes.
I taught in San Francisco for 10 years. I came to really appreciate the hard work and presence of UESF during my stint as a guidance counselor when I saw so many nefarious forces go after classroom teachers. The Union was there. And for that I am eternally appreciative. Solidarity, sisters and brothers!!
