I have flown on United Airlines in the past along with the airlines they acquired or merged with since. During Chinese New Year 2026, I hadn't flown on United like this....ever. In fairness, U.S. Customs played a role in one of my missed flights; However, United could have allowed more than enough time for many passengers to make such connections as they have nearly all the say in their schedule making. Flew flight # UA1387 on 4-9-26 from Pittsburgh to SFO. Upon boarding we were greeted by friendly UA staff. I was pleased to see the headrests included onboard entertainment. The highlight of this flight was the excellent service from Flight Attendant Thomas Ngo. From his great smile, uniform appearance and outgoing personality he made the flight seamless. I had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with United Airlines. I purchased a ticket for an individual who was supposed to become an employee of my company, and I paid for everything myself, including travel insurance. When it became clear that the person could not travel, I canceled the ticket more than a week in advance — well within a reasonable timeframe. I'd rather ride shotgun with Tiger Woods at the wheel than ever fly United again. I got a hotel voucher tonight from the airline due to a travel disruption. This is how you know United doesn't care about you: I didn't know a fleabag motel like the dump they put me up in even existed. At least put your displaced travelers in a hotel with working lights and outlets.
