Very Unprofessional Union Properties is a very unprofessional organization. The unit we rented was dirty when we first arrived, they took two days to hire someone to clean it and even then it was still dirty. If you like privacy, look elsewhere. They "scheduled" numerous inspections (called the day before they wanted to show up) for various reasons. As some other comments stated, you will only receive a portion of your security deposit when you leave. Avoid this company.
ANYBODY but Union Properties This is not an angry rant to bash Union Properties or just a way to blow off some steam but after living in Gainesville for 6 years in 5 different locations with 4 different property managment companies, I can say unequivocally, Union Properties is hands down the worst I have ever personally had the displeasure or renting with. rent from someone else I rented an apartment from Union Properties a few years ago. When I moved in, the apartment was completely filthy. The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Still they swore it had been cleaned. I delayed my move for several days, which was a big hassle, until they coulg get a cleaning crew. Other than this issue, I didn't have any other problems with this company.
Terrible Company, Terrible Staff I have leased with 5 different leasing companies in the 7 years I have been in Gainesville. This was by far the worst. They tell you everything you want to hear when before you sign the lease and then you're have amnesia after. I was told that usually during football season each apt makes about 500-600 selling spots since there is no decals. WRONG. Decals were required and not to mention I got my car towed twice with my decal on and they refused to compensate me what so ever. Like a previous ... read more
union properties they are nice and friendly, like any other management property. But their fees are ridiculous. $60.00 application fee per person. Proof of steam cleaning carpets mandatory they will take the cost from your deposit. If the place is not absolutely spotless (even smoke detectors) they will charge you!
Great people I have rented from Union properties for years and really enjoy their helpful staff and professional services. Maintenance is quick to fix repairs and the staff is always available to answer questions. Check them out next time you are looking for a rental.
