very good food, nice service i'm not a big fan of haughty steak houses, that's why i like b&d, they're not stuffy and i always feel welcome and well cared for. but of course we come for the food, so that's what brings us back every time.

Nice friendly steak house. I know that friendly and steak house usually do not go together but at Burton and Doyle they do. The staff is always gracious and helpful and the food is very good. We particularly like the shrimp bisque as an appetizer. But split it as it is large. That, a salad and a main course are enough for doggy bags for the next day or two. Also try the crab cakes. They are to die for.

I will start out by saying that I was not disappointed in the food or the service. The quality of service and food is still great, but my husband and I have been going to B&D on and off for the last 8 years for various occasions. Our previous visit was about a year ago. It was once a high end dining experience. I remember the place being packed and having to wait at least 20-30 mins to be seated even with a reservation, but we never minded because it was typically worth it. After an extremely long hiatus on my part, I took the family to B&D in February and everyone raved. We went back this past Mother's Day and I was extremely disappointed, as the calamari appetizer was bland and my Ribeye was served tepid and bone-dry. Honestly, it looked like it was reheated. Others family members felt similarly. I've been to countless steakhouses and what separates the best from the rest is consistency.

Burton and Doyle has gone down hill. The sushi was fishy and the steak was dry. The place looks tired.

Tender and tenderly – This restaurant has never prepared a single mistake. My steaks are always charred to perfection and their garlic mashed potatoes are not half bad either. The restaurant itself is extremely comfortable, and the staff is just as accommodation. I highly recommend

Great steak! – My family and I love this restaurant! It is very cozy, warm, and relaxed. The steak is like butter! The staff is very attentive, and caring. We always have a great time!

I agree with what the Owner said. – For steak lovers, this place is the tops on Long Island. The great service, and atmosphere are a plus to their wonderful food.

B&D, is one of my favorite's . Excellent steaks, nice portions, an always consistent menu. Service is always excellent and ALWAYS attentive, never an attitude here. Be warned that you can expect a Mob scene on the weekends after 7 PM, so go early or go during week. But go.
