Lovely old hotel, with great views offered. Heater is up to the task of a cold California winter, and honestly, using a rickety old elevator is part of the charm! Bathroom could use updating, but the room was spacious. Luckily, no ghost sightings here, though I do wish we'd been able to check out the restaurant. Parking is street parking, FYI.
Absolutely beautiful hotel! Very beautiful area, our room was lovely, the staff was kind. However, there was a weird stain on the carpet in our room (it was icky), the jacuzzi tubs in the hotel apparently didn't work, and the elevator was terrifying. It was easy to check out though, there's simply a drop box to drop off your room key.
We lucked out and obtained a room in this quaint historic 1800's hotel on Valentines weekend on very short notice. The room was huge and overlooked historical downtown Benicia. Perfectly walkable location!! The bed was very comfortable! Only reason it's a 4 star is they haven't removed non-functioning jacuzzi tubs which are ancient but not original equipment. We were in a handicap room, high step in tub, but I guess if you were handicapped you could sit and swing your legs over. Hot water was quick to arrive.
Older property. The most comfy bed. Nothing fancy but so amazing at the same time. Kim the manager is amazing. The property is a hundred and eighty three years old. Pricing was perfect, and I would say stay there for sure.You're in the heart of the town. You can walk everywhere. My husband is a firefighter for the city and I had no idea how amazing it was until I visited myself for business travel.
