Bait and Switch, while we were searching multiple offers from different companies we were told multiple times that if we went with the loan they were offering we would be able to recast it for $250, which would give us the flexibility to close on a house we were purchasing prior to closing on our home that we were selling and it would lock a rate in so the earlier the better, and once recast our payment would be reduced to the new loan total. I have been a mortgage holder with this company for over a year now, but just refinanced. During that year, I paid my mortgage "before" the due date. I was a very good customer with an excellent credit score. I have since refinanced my home, and am STILL waiting for my escrow monies, which were promised to me over a month ago. Every time I call, they tell me that "it's been mailed out, mailed out, mailed out". I just hung up the phone with them AGAIN, and per their manager, this check was mailed out more than a month ago. What a nightmare. We bought our house in January of 2020. Closed every thing was fine. Then Covid hits a few months later and like many others my husband lost his job. We went on a forbearance. No problems. Then we call in Sept to get things rolling again. First person I spoke to told me they were good. Paperwork coming for a loan mod. Call back 2 weeks later. Lady tells me its in the mail. What a horrid customer service team. Union Home Mortgage has lost a mortgage payment sent electronically. I have been on the phone multiple times with them and I get the same run around. Have you sent your payment? Do you have proof? We haven't received your proof of payment from the bank. You will be assessed late charges until you make this payment. I have made the payment. What a company nightmare! I purchase a home using Union Home Mortgage and I have been making my mortgage payments on time since November 2019. I received a 2020 property tax notice informing me that I have a outstanding tax bill. I called the county treasurer and was told that this notice was correct and they advised me call UHM. First off the only number listed on mortgage statement was a number that was a automated. I was approached by Mark ******who informed me that I could lower my payments by $115+. In the process of finding out more information I asked if this was a recast and how much it would cost (I was initially told a few hundred dollars). Now mind you, I've only had my mortgage with this company for 8 months. He conveniently didn't answer these 2 questions among all my other ones so I assumed the information I originally had was correct.
