The Union Bluff Hotel, originally called the Union Bluff House, was built in 1868 by Moses French, after an explosion of tourism following the Civil War led to the community now known as York Beach. It was a time of renewed prosperity and improved transportation, which changed people's vacation habits. They were eager to travel and get away. dining The Union Bluff has a great pub. It also has fine dining on the other side. We prefer the pub side. It overlooks Short Sands Beach. The prices are reasonable and the selection is good. I love the Nubble Point. It is a fish sandwich. We eat at this pub every year on vacation at least 2-3 times.
my new fave. place I have only stayed over once, but I can't wait until we stay again. the views from our room were breathtaking. I think staying off season is probably so much better (for me, anyway) than the busy season. The rooms are very nice. A small fridge is in the room. Nice decor. Prices are very good off season, and they vary with what kind of room you would like.
Union Bluff The Union Bluff is a great place to stay in Maine. This is located at Short Sands, York Beach, Maine. The beach is right across the street. The hotel is kid friendly and they always have great packages for long weekends. The arcade is directly across from the Union Bluff. Great bar and the place is clean.
Union Bluff Hotel is excellent!!! We went up there for a wedding this past weekend, not knowing the area or this hotel, so it was a dice shoot. I can say the dining room menu (brand new) has to rate within my top five meals - ever! The boar chops w/butternut squash grits was incredible. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I also agree that the pub has great food at a very reasonable price. We stayed with the weekend package where two breakfast and one dinner was included - very good value! We will go back.....
