I lived at Union Bay Lofts from June 2024 to June 2025, and while there are definitely some great aspects to the property, there are also some frustrations that future tenants should be aware of. We’ve been living at union bay lofts now for a couple years & love the space. Rare to find a two story apartment home and close to downtown transportation & close enough to the lightrail. Being by the lake is great in summer and safe neighborhood to walk our pups at night. Simone the manager has always been great to us & understanding & a lot of why we stay!
This is our second year living at Union Bay Lofts. We love it here. The Site Manager Simone is the best and most helpful building manager I’ve ever met. If something is wrong, she gets it fixed FAST. The lofts and building are peaceful and quiet! We love our unit. The neighborhood is great - we have a dog and take walks day and night, both in the residential part of Eastlake and down to the shops. I work at the UW and walk or bike to work. UBL is a great location.
I lived here for 2 years with a partner and I loved the location! The French bakery downstairs was my regular place to go and UW is so close I was able to study and work with ease. Simone was very awesome to work with and she answered all of our questions. If we ever needed maintenance it was swift, friendly, and got the job done! I did not pay for parking since I relied on public transportation, but the garage was mostly safe. It's a gated garage but I think there was 1 break in.
