It's usually where we go for the spaghett & meatballs night because they're so good- last night they "ran out" of spaghetti. The reason their pasta is so good is because it's made fresh. Real downer.
What a terrific night--start to finish. The service was great and the food was so creatively and lovingly prepared. These people love food and love what they do--you can sense it. We have been to Union a few times; I love that every time we eat here we are exposed to something new and exciting that is executed to perfection. Squid ink Garganelli... I about went scooby doo on the floor. Homemade inky pasta made with truffle butter and lobster, total foodgazum. Thank you Debi for the podcast recommendation on "Just forking around".
Our first time here and wasn't disappointed, the food was incredibly delicious! I knew the food would be delicious, once the server informed us that everything was HOMEmade. We had the squid ink pasta, stracciatella and the braised octopus. We will definitely become regulars.
We arrived at a very busy hour on Friday night. We were greeted quickly and offered a couple of options for tables. We chose a cozy table in the corner. The wait staff was attentive and made great suggestions based on our inquiries. It was a wonderful romantic dinner with an amazing selection of shared courses. I would love to repeat this trip to Pasadena.
