All in all it was mid. Id buy the mac and baked beans again but at that rate if i want a full meal id just go somewhwre else. Ordered the Chicken Thigh meal and some sides/desserts on doordash. Chicken Thigh, cornbread, baked beans, coleslaw, mac'n cheese, greens, lime cake and banana pudding all for 50.00. Underdog BBQ catered my friends' wedding this past weekend, and it was some of the best BBQ I've had in a long time. It's been a few days and I'm still thinking about how good the pulled pork was. The baked beans were amazing, and the mac & cheese, chicken, and ribs were all fantastic too. Honestly, there wasn't a single thing I didn't enjoy. I'll definitely be stopping by the restaurant the next time I'm in Erie. Highly recommend!
The food was excellent, my partner and I shared the mini gauntlet and took home leftovers. All the meats were amazing and the sides a perfect complement. The array of sauces was fun to try and had something for everyone. I had a “Mistake on the Lake” cocktail, which was just as delicious as the food. The only thing that wasn’t my favorite was the use of AI for decor in the restaurant which took away from the ‘home made’ atmosphere and underdog message.
While visiting Erie, PA all the way from South Carolina and made it a point to eat at Underdog BBQ. I had watched the show from the very beginning and never missed an episode, so I was genuinely excited to finally experience it in person.
