I booked a two day stay here. I paid for two queen beds, before even submitting my payment I called and got confirmation that I was indeed getting those two beds. Upon arrival I walked into a one bed hotel room. The hotel room I booked wasn't the same one I walked into. The manager was no help and told me there was nothing she could do, she wouldn't even look at my reservation. I sat on hold with customer service for 3 hours trying to get a new room or refund. This business is being managed by a woman who has no business working in the hospitality industry. When we arrived for our week long vacation we were not greeted, the only thing we were asked is if we were checking in and which cottage, she never registered any of the people staying in the rentals, but she sure did put your credit card through real quick. After frequenting Uncle Toms Cabins with family and friends yearly for the last 41 years we will no longer be coming here due to the disrespectful, deceitful, and absolute worst manager of any location in the world Brenda. To start the week none of the cottages were cleaned thoroughly. The encounters with the new management here were the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had. Brenda would actually yell their “new rules” at you that weren’t listed anywhere. When I asked the see where the policy is she blew literal smoke in my face and ignored me, which was then followed my a text message to vacate the motel we booked for a week or she would call law enforcement. Standards are below par and not clean. To me, it's a dump! Remote controls don't work for tv, wood floors weren't swept. Rips and holes in couch. Uncomfortable pull out bed from 1950s, springs broken and bed in bedroom broke. Apparently, frame had already been glued once, not replaced therefore broke. This was the motel they have but doubt the cottages are any better. Also, none of the outlets are grounded, so only have two prungs. My hair dryer ect needed 3 prung grounded outlet, so had to go buy a converter. What was good.... read more
