Not the Uncle Tom's you kneew – This is not the place I knew 20yrs ago when I came to visit family... Now you can have, Baby back ribs with 'arroz con frijoles' or 'yuca al moho'...What happend? The sauce, is no longer the "SAUCE"...
How unfortunate yet if anyone has any ideas... – I was visiting my parents in Coral Gables and come back for the foods I grew up with. I went to a favorite Uncle Tom?s. We ordered the ribs and specifically asked for ?original Uncle Tom's Barbeque Sauce? all to go.The bill was over 200.00USD for the four orders of ribs. Worst than Shorties, if possible. – Anyone who remembers Uncle Tom's from the old days has probably stopped going there entirely. In nearly 50 years of living in Miami, I have never seen a restaurant deteriorate so rapidly. The new owners have altered everything for the worst. avoid going after 6pm. – i went the other night with mother and aunt. we had fried calamari, cheese and jalapeno croquettes, chicken poppers or chicken chicharron for me, and pork. god was the food bad! the chicken poppers were not as i expected. im use to chicken poppers with no fat. these had lots of it. the pork wasnt for me but it was all left on the plate since it was sagy and not crispy. the fried calamari was good i suppose since my mother ate it all. and the cheese and jalapeno croquettes were the best! i suppose the... read more

Worst food in Miami, please STAY FAR FAR AWAY from Uncle Tom's BBQ, it IS HORRIBLE – I've been seeing Uncle Tom's BBQ from the outside for the past 20+ years. Uncle Tom's Nightmare BBQ – Oh my God!!!! Did I miss the real Uncle Toms, I realized he sold the restaurant the minute I walked in but I wanted to try it anyways. What a huge mistake I made, after a long time waiting for the food the BBQ chicken was very dry and over cooked as if it had been sitting on the grill for a long period of time. GREAT BBQ – NOT ONLY DO THEY HAVE GREAT RIBS, BUT THEIR HOT DOGS ARE DELICIOUS AND NOT TO MENTION THEIR CORN ON THE COB. THEY ARE A MUST HAVE BEFORE YOU DIG IN. NO WONDER THEY HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR SO MANY YEARS. THE PRICES ARE GREAT TOO. ENJOY! I GIVE THEM A 2 THUMBS UP!!
The best ribs in town! – Miami's oldest & still best, taken right from the menu and after eating there you'll definitely agree. After 56 years the menu has not changed the least bit, from its original design. The secret BBQ sauce recipe is still a mystery, and eating there is still a delight. Don't hesitate and try it for yourself, If not you'll be missing out in an important piece of our City's history and an amazing meal.
