Terrible all around! – This is the worst service I have gotten anywhere in Oakland. The order was wrong when I got it, I was hung up on when I asked for a total, and the manager could have cared less. Go to the one in Squirrel Hill if you must have their subs!

Garbage – This place dosn't hold a candle to Peppis on the North side. I got a steak, and the meat to fat ratio was about 80% fat 20% meat... GARBAGE / White Rubish Subs. You people need to go to peppis for the best sandwhiched in town...

Impressive Subs – I recently went to Pittsburgh for the summer, and being a Philadelphia native, I was a little skeptical when people described Uncle Sam's cheesesteaks as "Amazing". I decided to give them a try. I had half of their famous cheesesteak and half of the Italian Sausage Sub. Packed around noon lunch, and for good reason – Uncle Sam's (in Oakland) is my favorite place to get a cheese steak in Pittsburgh. The atmosphere is also fantastically old school and the portion of food is hearty. If you avoid the expensive soda you can stuff your face with amazing subs and fries piled high with Frank's and ketchup for under 6 or 7 bucks. Love this place. For the Philly steak fan who doesn't want to suffer Philadelphia to get one. – The Scene Order from the wall-mounted menu and then take a seat with your number. The wait staff carries out the fresh-from-the-grill subs, calling out the numbers. Seeing the wares paraded around, in combination with the sound and smell of steak sizzling on the grill, makes the anticipation almost unbearable. Yum, yum and yummy! – From the very first time I tried one of their Ultra mushroom cheeseteak sandwiches, I was in heaven. The fries are better than average and this includes the sweet potatoe fries as well. It isn't the most expensive place to eat and that's alright because the quality of their steak and bread for the buns is incredible. The service is usually speedy and polite. I always consider it a special treat to go and eat one of their subs.

Service with a...well...nothing... – Today we ventured into Uncle Sam's for lunch. I was craving my usual Ultra Mushroom Cheese Steak. Yum! My colleague, first timer, got the Italian Sausage. It took over 40 minutes from order until they refunded our money back because they wasted our half hour lunch! Personally, I didn't mind the wait. The food is always well worth it. Hangover heaven – I love this food, but I truly love this food after a night of drinking. The steak sandwiches are very good, but not the best, sorry. I long for days of the Philly cheesesteak, FROM PHILLY!
