We were a part of a wedding (immediate family in the wedding party) last weekend catered by Uncle Bob’s. Not only was the food terrible, but the service was also shameful. I’ll start with the food, since that’s what most people reading the reviews are here for. The brisket was dry and tasteless. The chicken was inedible. After waiting hours for the buffet to open, we were starving. But the bbq was so bad all I could force down were the mashed potatoes and a roll. We had Uncle Bobs BBQ cater our wedding two weeks ago and they were sooo amazing! They arrived on time and had a beautiful display. Everything looked so professional! They had appetizers saved for us on our table when we returned from pictures after the ceremony and brought us our dinner plates. They also cut our cake and did the perfect job setting it all up so people could come grab a slice easily. We are so glad you opened the Montgomery location. All of your meats are outstanding. The staff is very polite and pleasant. HOWEVER, you seriously need to change your buns for sandwiches. I had the chicken sandwich. All the ingredients were delicious but the bun was so limp that I couldn’t pick up the sandwich. Trying to eat it with knife and fork was frustrating.
This was the second time going with my wife. The first time I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. It was ok, but they were light on the meat. Then I went and tried the sliced beef sandwich. The sandwich came with an outstanding TWO slices of meat and the buns looked like someone sat on it. After pulling the fat off of it, it came down to about a piece and a half. However, my wife's potato was overflowing with meat. From now on I will just go to McKenzie's in Conroe for my BBQ needs.
