So far, we're very impressed with UNC Orthopedic. Latoya at the front desk, is both compassionate and competent, a rare mix in today's health care environment. She took on a task that wasn't hers and when she couldn't reach who she needed, she went looking for them. She's a treasure! The clinic manager was also very kind and helpful and Dr Kamath is both personable and thorough. He has a reputation for being a highly skilled surgeon. Really nice clinic, the girls at the front desk are super friendly, no wait time is a plus. Unfortunately, you will not see a physician, and the PA that I saw kept telling me that she doesn't know how to interpret the X-ray images, and whether or not the fracture is stable (it was not). They took the X-rays, and attempted to fit me into a splint which was not properly shaped for this type of injury. A very kind and courteous staff attended to my needs immediately. I've been in pain for over 1 month and my issue was addressed with care and concern.
Very nice, modern facility with great staff. Walked in yesterday morning and was seen immediately. The tech and Dr. Bush were phenomenal and took my concerns seriously, giving me an answer about pain I’ve dealt with for years but had recently become unbearable. I had X-rays taken, a diagnosis confirmed, treatment plan laid out, and consultation scheduled all within the hour. I would highly recommend this clinic!
