Scheduling an appointment nowadays usually involves a wait of a month or more. Nurses often do not pick up. The recording one hears when leaving messages indicates that no response may be received before three days have elapsed. Some problems require a faster turnaround.
While the physicians I’ve seen are good, the general practice is terrible. You have to call a central number, describe your symptoms, and then … sometimes a nurse calls you back, sometimes not, and a few are brusque and rude. It’s a large impersonal bureaucratic mess.
