I have cochlear implants. Normally I don’t care about Deaf Equality or rights or whatever. I will not be returning to this place. I needed some work done, and my experience with Dr. Jackson Vuncannon was highly disappointing. He was unprofessional and unresponsive to my requests. When he entered the room, he sat with his arms crossed, displaying a lack of care that raised alarm bells for me. It also made me question his attitude towards patients of diverse backgrounds. again I kinda wonder how he feels about black folks......
Dr Clark and nurse Amber have been wonderful. Dr Thompson, however, dismissed my concerns, doubted my test results, wasn't able to do extended testing, offered no cause nor remedy. Worst of all he exhibited no sympathy or understanding. A little goes a long way and UNC has consistently exceeded my expectations- but Dr Thompson was a meeting that could have been an email.
