I left this appointment feeling dismissed and unheard. What was most disappointing was the lack of communication during the visit. There was very little explanation, discussion, or effort to explore potential causes of my symptoms. I left with more questions than answers. I am extremely disappointed with UNC Dermatology and the way their policies are handled. My father has Medicare Humana and Medicaid, yet the clinic refused to accept him as a patient because Humana is considered out of network. What makes even less sense is that I offered to pay completely out-of-pocket, and they still refused to see him due to their policy.
