Good food, decent prices The food here is not bad - some very creative rolls that are written on a whiteboard rather than being placed in a menu, so they can be changed to suit the whims of the day's sushi chef. The quality of the fish used is always good, so you don't have to worry about bad fish with an of your orders. My only real complaint with Umi is the prices - quite high for every day sushi, unless you happen to go during their Monday lunch special, where they give a discount every Monday from 11-1. Umi is one of dozens of Japanese restaurants I have dined at in America, and is arguably the best! The sushi chefs are all owners, so they have an interest in taking care of their customers and make them happy. They are very friendly, highly skilled, and reasonably priced. They hand-pick the fish daily from the freshest catches available here. They do special orders gladly, and if you create a hit dish, they even have been known to name it after you!
