What an absolute dumpster fire of a bank. I made the mistake of refinancing my commercial property with them. The loan guy was very nice at first and promised to build a relationship and fund future investment properties. After finalizing the refi I was never able to get a hold of him again. I tried for years, talked to other loan officers, supervisors, managers, and was always told I had to deal with the guy who wouldn't respond to me. I am now in the process of taking my business elsewhere, and will be out literally hundre... read more

I have an HSA through UMB. My account was closed, no explanation given. The only method for reaching customer support is a phone number that was "experiencing higher than normal call volume," no chat or email support. The estimated wait time was initially 28 minutes and went up repeatedly the longer I waited. I gave up after an hour, figuring they'd keep me waiting until the support line closed. Despicable. Recommend avoiding at all costs.

I would give zero stars. My brother passed away and my mom opened an estate account with UMB since my brother had banked there. Unfortunately, my mom fell and went to the hospital and rehab and our lawyer drafted a ***** of ******** for my brother and I to help my mom with my brother's estate while she healed up. UMB refused the ***** of ******** and really didn't give us any options. I asked the Branch Manager at Regency to email why the back office refused to honor it and she refused to email me so I could forward to our l... read more

AVOID! All is good until you have a "problem" (like needing to add a new bank account to pay for), now I have been on the phone with this company at least 5 times in the past three months. They billed my old bank account TWICE, including once after telling me that the old bank information had been deleted from their systems (obviously a lie...). I always call them as soon as I notice the account not working or when I get correspondence from UMB. My account has been "locked" numerous times throughout, and they can't seem to g... read more

After my husband retired and we didn't add money to the account they charged us $2.95 per month and $1.95 paper statement fee. Closing the account was really difficult until the last ***** was used and charged back as fees.

I am unwilling to pay your monthly fee to maintain my HSA funds, therefore six weeks ago arranged with my local bank to roll it into a newly created account which is higher interest bearing and no monthly fees. Today we are trying to get information from your customer service to find out why this transaction has not processed. Likely we will need to contact the State Attorney General for this situation as no one is able or willing to help us.

I cannot believe that an electronic payment made from my checking account at ****** *******, which shows up on my Citi account on July 12, will not be credited by Citi until July 15. Somehow, Citi is so far in the stone age that they need 72 hours to send for the Pony Express to check with ****** ******* that the electronic payment that they received is valid.

UMB is the worst HSA administrator. I highly recommend that health insurance carriers look elsewhere for an administrator for their HDHP plans to partner with. I believe the purposefully make it as difficult as possible to move your HSA account to another administrator. I attempted to move my account to Fidelity and completed all of the appropriate paperwork, and liquidated all of my investments and moved the proceeds to my bank account. After 10 days, with no movement of my money, I called UMB and was told that the issue ne... read more

Do not recommend this company for a HSA. My old HSA was rolled over to them and it's been a nightmare. They started charging fees before I even knew my HSA had moved. $2.95 a month every month, I'm down to $4, I contacted them and they said they will stop charging me once my account goes down to $0. They are basically stealing my money.
