Dear Umassfive Federal Credit Union-Please inform your potential customers that you only know how to handle issues relating to U.S citizens and cannot deal with the issues pertaining to international students, before anyone opens an account with your bank. I secured a MA Solar Loan offered through UMassFive to fund installation of solar panels on my home. The credit union appears to have a business practice of securing a lien against customers who purchase solar equipment. After I paid off the loan, the credit union is asking me to pay the $45 fee to the Registry of Deeds toremove the lien that they secured. I just paid a $40,000 bank loan only to have the bank send me letter that you now need to pay a $45 fee to remove a lien that the bank initiated and never told me about. I... read more

Yesterday I went to the Northampton branch so that my daughter could get her account info. She hasn't been able to use the online banking system and NO ONE can tell her why. This has been an issue for about a year now. After she was done with her transaction we went to the drive up ATM and I attempted to withdraw $100. I entered the amount and the screen kept spinning telling me that transaction is in process. It was spinning for about three minutes.
