Tonight was Umami! Firstly this place is really cool and now we are both bummed we didn’t come here sooner! The vibe was immaculate, it’s an izakaya (Japanese bar) style restaurant. The music playlist was on point, the decor and people were all great. Clare started with a cucumber mocktail (the name is escaping me) but it may be the best mocktail I have ever had, I don’t even like cucumber. service seemed kinda shockingly rude. nearly turned away without a reservation were told there was no help for it. there were no less than two empty tables behind us the entire hour plus we were there. the one guy dropped my small plate from behind my head in front of me. we went there to celebrate. i don’t think we will ever go back.

We sat at the bar with Paul, and he was so personable and had great drink recs! We highly enjoyed the house made takoyoki- they even showed us the traditional pan they made it in. The ambience is great, food is authentic, service impeccable.
