My er nurse Colleen and my triage nurse WERE ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING SKILLED AND COMPASSIONATE THEY MADE ME WANT TO RETURN HERE...I WISH THEY WERE ALL LIKE THEM
Unfortunately my experience at the Outpatient Department was extremely chaotic. The woman at the front desk (Shirley) could not find me on her “list” suggesting I was in the wrong place for my appointment. She insisted I get my bloodwork done while she try’s to find out why I’m not on the list. I went to the lab, as she insisted and the wait was very long, I was concerned with missing my actual appointment I came for. I went to the ER on 9/14 at 11pm for chest pain, and im 7 weeks pregnant. Angela Sales didnt feel the need to draw blood for a troponin on a chest pain patient, but felt the need to order a chest x ray. The nurse, convenient her name isn't on the paperwork, ignored my call light being pressed twice within a 2 hour span, only for me to walk out of the room and find her laughing at the nurse station with 2 other nurses. THE SCIENCE OF HEALTH, THE ART OF COMPASSION I was seen at St John Westshore ED on 9/9/2025 at 5am with massive kidney stone pain and earlier seen on 8/17/2025 at Kettering Health in Troy, OH. I cannot express the gratitude of the compassionate care I received as soon as I walked into the door. The receptionist was very sweet and kind. She understood kidney stones.
