Something extremely bizarre and upsetting happened when a loved one died at St John's West Shore. My family was saying their goodbyes as our loved one was dying when a nun came in uninvited. She interrupted my family's farewells to ask if everyone wanted to pray. She then started singing the Lord's Prayer as if it were an opera aria. I cannot praise the midwifery team and the entire labor and delivery unit at this hospital enough. The attention and care I received was absolutely incredible. Not only did I feel so safe with the team caring for me during labor and delivery, but every single nurse that cared for me following delivery made me smile and taught me something new every single day. I am so incredibly grateful for my experience with these amazing women.

Edit: 5 hours and counting, no updates. Waiting room for over 4 hours and counting. Brought dad here after he is in severe pain following a surgery he had here. The lack of urgency in this place is actually unbelievable. Not surprised they have these signs everywhere, must be the norm.
