As far as predatory apartment complexes go lark central and scion (parent company) take first place easily. This review has nothing against the front office workers all of whom were always nice, they genuinely just work there and have no say against what their corporate management tells them to do. Brace for impact for move out because they will find any little chance to drill you with hundreds of dollars in move out "cleaning" fees for things as small as paper clippings on a desk. I LOVED my experience here. There were a few issues here and there but the staff were super friendly and ready to help. Everything went smoothly with them. Communication between the residents and staff is made super easy either via text, email or through the residents portal.
This complex has an ongoing roach Problem. I've seen roaches on every floor, including the 5th floor where I live, and frequently inside my unit and the only response from the front office will be to “put in a work order for the exterminator" which does nothing to address the root issue. It’s clearly a building-wide problem that no one seems to be taking seriously. It disgusting and I would not recommend living here.
i got charged almost 10k worth of rent on an apartment here back in 2020. did not spend that year here because campus was closed and leases were allowed to be broken and they didn’t allow me to break it , and still charged me for a whole year. 12 full months of rent. you would think if someone doesn’t start the lease or pay for one month they would be evicted or something. can’t evict me because i never lived in that unit. still charged me anywyas and probably tried renting out that room to someone else even tho it was durin... read more
