Administrative and Scheduling Failures My attempts to schedule an initial appointment were met with unnecessary hurdles and administrative confusion. The booking staff initially refused to make an appointment without a referral, even though my insurance does not require one. My attempts to clarify this were met with rudeness. I came here once for physical therapy years ago. I should have written the review back then but I didn't. It still angers me when I think of how I was treated though, so I'm hoping writing about it now will help. I had been experiencing constant, debilitating low back pain for a long time. I know now that it was a side effect from a medication I was being prescribed by another doctor in Gainesville (They must be giving out phony med degrees down there). Everyone at UF Health Orthopedics and sports. Are absolutely the best. They are very polite and caring.
I have been treated for 3 separate issues here. My overall experience has been positive. I was treated with respect. Shout out to Dr Altman! He listens, makes a plan of care with your input, and is professional yet very pleasant. Would recommend.
