I went to Dr. Freidl in January to try to give me less pain from the torn meniscus in my knees. We said we would begin with different injections. I had PRP but the injection was too painful. I set up an appointment in February with Giovanni Aime, PA, for cortisone injections. He is so compassionate and empathetic. He gave me my injection and I was pain free until 1 week short of 3 months. I saw him today and he was so concerned about my treatment. I had meniscus repair surgery with Dr. Friedl in January. I hadn’t walked in a year. Scar tissue and all. By the time of my first follow up with him I was walking without crutches (Good surgeon and good rehab - brooks). I had went last August to another UF ortho near the beach and the doctor refused surgery until I lost weight. Said it wouldn’t be worth repairing on my overweight body load. Dr Freidl is top notch. I would typically highly recommend. 5 stars. But... When seeing Dr. Freidl, I have never been seen until at least an hour past my appt time. Im writing this in an exam room 64 minutes past my appointment time and they say im still 3rd in line. They blame it on fewer exam rooms since they have 3 providers in office right now but simple logic says thats not an accurate reason for the delay unless the doctor was outside wsiting for them to turn the rooms. The bottleneck is the doctor, which means they ar... read more

The Dr. Kovacs had me source out all of my imaging and bring it to him to prove that I actually have injuries to my hip and spine only to tell me that he can only give me an Anti-inflammatory an tell me this office doesn't prescribe anything stronger than that... I have several herniations down my spine and a right hip tear... I feel like this is an injustice for women of color when it comes to Caucasian Doctors in America....
